Apartment Complex In Tenerife
Compostela Beach Resort was situated in between Playa d'las Americas and Los Cristianos, which is an area that is packed with plenty of places to eat and drink. We stayed here for two weeks self catering in a two bedroom apartment. The apartment was brilliant, it was very spacious and clean. Food was good and well presented in the restaurant. The kids really loved it as there are loads of children of all ages everywhere on this complex, but I thought it was too packed around the swimming pool area. The hotel could not cater for so many people and to be honest, it was rather noisy all day long around the pool area. So we did tend to go to the beach where it was more peaceful, which is a ten minute walk from the hotel. I would not stay here again, although my two boys liked the company of other children, but I just thought it was too loud and noisy in the day and in the evening. There were, also, some complaints from other people that there were too many teenagers messing around and being a nuisance in the evening when the cabaret entertainment was on. Also, there are, in high season, lots of young groups of boys and girls (ages of 17 - 21) on holiday there staying at this hotel, because it is within a ten minute walk to the noisy resort of Playa d'las Americas. It gets quiet after around 1am, as the entertainment finishes and the management are strict on keeping the noise down. The hotel did have a kids club and some entertainment and competitions for the adults throughout the day, which was very good fun. We booked this as a package deal with Thomas Cook Holidays and we paid for a two bed apartment for two adults and two children at a total package price of £1885 in sterling. I did not like Playa d' las Americas much, but the torviscas and fanabe area were lovely. Some people hire a car to get around, but to be honest if you like walking then ten minutes walk to some areas of the resort is pleasant on an nice summers' evening and afterwards we always got a taxi back to the hotel. Plenty of live entertainment everywhere. I would go back to Tenerife, but not to this particular hotel. I would prefer somewhere more quieter next time.
